CMBA was selected to relocate the Obstetrics Unit to the main level of the hospital with adjacency to the existing surgical center to improve patient care. A direct connection to the main entry of the hospital to aid in wayfinding, maintain close security of babies, and providing a non-clinical atmosphere in a functional hospital setting was of particular importance. The resulting facility heightens the aesthetic of the entrance corner to the hospital and connects patient space directly to the existing gardens.
