We began our work with the Community Hospital in McCook, Nebraska, by establishing a 10-year vision and comprehensive master plan. Market demand was a primary driver during this process, while the need to accommodate expected growth inspired great flexibility. To clearly understand the needs of the McCook Community Hospital renovation project, we worked individually with each department to set goals, priorities and target outcomes. At this time, we also surveyed and met with leadership, staff and providers to understand their department-specific needs. Our initial focus areas for this were clinic space, emergency department, injection infusion department, kitchen/dietary, placement of mobile units, deliveries and parking. This project is a prime example of what can happen when you pair hard work and creativity with a clear vision of success!
