With an old facility that was operating outside its lifespan, its survivability was coming into question. We proposed relocating the hospital, allowing Kimball Health Services to house all its services under one roof. In addition to saving them on expenses, implementing an efficient design would make it possible. With this plan, Kimball Health Services is able to meet its current healthcare needs and is fully prepared for its projected increase in demand. The replacement hospital will include outpatient clinics and rehabilitation therapies, surgery and central sterile, emergency services with ambulance bay and helipad, radiology, inpatient treatment services laboratory, and finance and administrative offices in a 61,219 SF footprint on one city block. The project also allows for additional service options, such as mammography, cardiac rehab, additional specialty clinics, chemotherapy infusions, and expanded surgical options. This project will significantly improve patient safety, privacy, and comfort – while giving Kimball Health Services the ability to improve their delivery of high-quality healthcare to the area!
