Rebuilding Core Spaces for Everyday Learning
The goal is to replace aging spaces with a modern elementary addition that improves safety and provides long-term value for the district and community.
Sterling Elementary School is a thoughtful reinvestment in the district’s future, addressing aging infrastructure while creating new opportunities for learning and community use. We worked with the district to navigate a complex site with more than 15 feet of grade change, using it as an opportunity to reimagine how new and existing spaces connect.
Designed with a durable ICF wall system and delivered in two phases, the plan allows the district to maintain operations while transitioning into new spaces before demolishing the existing elementary and creating The Hangar, a facility that reinforces the Sterling Jets identity.
