Creating a Unified Campus that Supports Modern Learning
The goal was to replace an outdated facility with a new intermediate school that enhances safety and strengthens the connection with the existing elementary campus.
After comprehensive assessments, the School Board approved a facility plan that prioritized district-wide needs for safety and educational improvement. For the Intermediate School serving grades 3 through 5, analysis showed that renovating the existing building was not cost-effective compared to new construction. The new Intermediate School will be built as an addition to the current elementary building, creating a unified campus with safe, modern learning environments and shared resources. Construction will take place without disruption to students. When the new building is complete the existing facility will be demolished and replaced with an expanded playground that further enhances the site for student use and community benefit.
