LE MARS, IA
Wells Blue Bunny Ice Cream Parlor & Museum
Reviving historic charm
The goal was to restore the historic Pew building, creating a vibrant ice cream parlor and museum that celebrates Wells’ rich history.
A revival of one of downtown Le Mars’ most historical buildings, the Parlor, is located in the Pew building. The Pew building was home to one of the earliest businesses in Le Mars and the state of Iowa. The Parlor’s marble ice cream bar is an original from the historic M&M Bakery & Café in O’Neill, Nebraska. The Blue Bunny Ice Cream Parlor offers an outdoor seating area and an indoor ice cream bar, with booth and table seating. A grand staircase leads you to a second level of casual seating. Historical photos, packaging displays and exhibits are featured throughout the building and highlight Wells’ company history. The space also includes a private room that can be reserved for meetings, events and parties!
