Streamlining Collaboration Across Teams
The goal for this project was to consolidate staff from two separate facilities into one cohesive environment that would support team collaboration and unify their organizational identity.
Interstates’ staff was spread between two facilities. As the company grew, their staff needed to consolidate, so CMBA designed an addition to the existing building to make it happen. Efficient flow of staff, convenient access to shared facilities, as well as collaborative meeting spaces, were imperative. The staff is set up as teams and have their own collaboration spaces and easy access to team leaders. Despite the separate team concept, they wanted the facility to feel like a cohesive organization. Centralized common functions, chance meeting areas and consistent flow of interior features and finishes promote that feeling and reduce the appearance of a “sea of cubicles.”
