Colette is a people person, a Registered Interior Designer, and our very own resident slalom water skier (more on that later)! Colette values working closely with clients; she believes that it’s important to get to know a client before creating spaces that truly reflect their needs. In her opinion, being relational and really listening to the client are two very important, underrated parts of the design process, and we couldn’t agree more!
OK, so about the slalom waterskiing… in case you were as uninformed as we were, slalom waterskiing is a form of waterskiing that makes use of a single narrow ski to ride behind a boat and carve across the wakes. While we haven’t actually seen this yet, Colette has been doing this since Junior High and continues to do it whenever she gets the chance!!
When she isn’t designing or slalom waterskiing, she’s the happiest when her family is together. “As an empty nester, those times are few and far between. I treasure the moments that we have when we are all together.”
Her favorite color is Periwinkle, her favorite food is Steak de Burgo, and her snack of choice for a brainstorming meeting is homemade cookies – we’re good with that, just bring an extra batch (or three), please!
