Architectural Designer

As an Architectural Designer at CMBA, you will be immersed in a fun, collaborative culture with an amazing team of creative professionals. You will have the opportunity to collaborate and work on a wide range of architecture projects, from initial planning and design to site visits and construction administration. Candidates must be outgoing, independent, detail-oriented and passionate about design – creativity is in our mission statement!

What You'll Do

  • Create three-dimensional building information modeling and two-dimensional construction documentation using provided software
  • Perform redline changes and revisions
  • Assist in the design process from conceptual design through completion of projects
  • Assist with contract administration responsibilities
  • Participate in design charettes
  • Prepare presentation graphics used to communicate concepts to the client
  • May develop project specifications
  • Organize and maintain project files
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture required
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Revit and other architectural rendering programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite programs a plus

As a Technician at CMBA, you will be immersed in a fun, collaborative culture with an amazing team of creative professionals. You will have the opportunity to coordinate with Architects and Designers on construction projects, review blueprints, and visit construction sites.

What You'll Do

  • Create construction documents for various building types
  • Able to efficiently meet specific client deadlines and project goals
  • Without direction, understand fire ratings; construction types for walls, floors, and ceilings; and able to develop floor plans from preliminary diagrams and/or sketches
  • Provide drafting and design services by preparing and maintain electronic drawings that compile to create a set of permittable plans
  • Coordinate with other team members including managers, administrative staff and construction staff members
  • Shop drawing review
  • Field measurements and site verification
  • Organize and maintain project files
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree or certificate in related field preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with emphasis in commercial building construction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work in teams and as an individual contributor
  • Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Revit and other architectural programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
