Peter McDermott AIA

Peter has ridden every RAGBRAI for the last 19 consecutive years! And as if that wasn’t impressive enough, he’s also a fantastic architect to boot! In his own words, “I enjoy being in a position to design things that aren’t only beautiful, but can also be enjoyed and benefited from every day by those who experience it.”

Peter knew from an early age that he wanted to be an architect. He loved drawing, painting, building (and on occasion “destroying”) things – all the usual suspects. There were certainly plenty of easier careers he could have chosen, but it’s the complexity and uniquely challenging aspects of architecture that had him hooked from day one.

Now switching gears a bit, enjoy a few random facts about Peter: he’s a coffee guy, has a serious sweet tooth, prefers movies to books, and would pick chocolate over vanilla without a second thought (we’re with you on this one, Peter).

Peter is patient, competitive, and has chosen beer and jalapeño kettle chips as his work snack of choice. We love having you on the team, Peter McDermott!
